A. Employees earn Annual Leave as designated in the following table: Annual Leave Earning Rates

B. Probationary employees may request use of accrued annual leave during their six month probation. See the tables above for accrual rates for full time and part time employees. Approval from a supervisor is required for annual leave usage based on department need. C. Credit for the first month of employment will be given if the employee has one-half or more service during that month, i.e., an employment date of the 1st through 15th of the month will begin earning leave as described above. An employment date of the 16th through the end of the month will earn one-half the amount of above. 5.2 Annual Leave Use A. The timing and amount of Annual Leave taken for any employee will be subject to approval by an authorized supervisor. Approval will be based on the operating requirements of the department.
