Training Training Responsibilities
This section trains all new emergency communications personnel through an in-house Rookie School and provides monthly continuing education for all employees. GM911’s training curriculum aligns with the minimum training standards for public safety telecommunicators set forth by the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and is certified by the APCO International’s Agency Training Program. This certification serves to validate the agency’s curriculum and guarantees that trainees receive the necessary content. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of demonstrating decision-making and psychomotor skills as specified in the standards.
