Telephone Statistics Call Volume During the last year, the Emergency Communications Division processed 728,529 calls. The NC 9-1-1 Board utilizes RapidDeploy Eclipse Analytics for statewide reporting for the 9-1-1 industry. Types of Calls GM911 continued to experience a decrease in landline 911 calls while wireless 911 calls increased from 84.6 percent to 87.3 percent. The center experienced a slight decrease in abandoned calls. We received an average of 953 calls per day in 2023, a 5.1 percent increase from 2022. There was a significant increase in text-to-911 calls as community awareness about that service increased.
