January 25 for '25 Winter Workout Challenge Let's welcome the new year with 25 miles! We are encouraging you to walk, run, bike, or paddle 25 in January. Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered to win a Parks and Recreation prize pack worth more than $200. This trail is suitable for all skill levels January 1 | Piedmont Trail | 12 noon to 3 pm February National Girls and Women in Sport Day Greensboro Parks and Recreation will be hosting a day of Play for girls ages 5-16 to celebrate National Girls and Sport Day (NGSD). The event will focus on providing instruction on a variety of sports while encouraging active lifestyles, socialization, and quality of life. Greensboro Parks and Recreation athletic staff, partners, and volunteers will lead these skill development initiatives. February 1 | Location TBD | 10 am to 1 pm Black Business Expo 2025 Join us for a networking and vendor opportunity for local small black businesses. February 8 | Lewis Recreation Center | 1-4 pm DIY ComplimenTREE Creations Spread a little joy throughout our community via the public art bike rack ComplimenTREE Kindnesses located on the Downtown Greenway. Join us for a simple crafting session to create thoughtful hang tags to adorn the art piece, plus one to take home!

February 19 | Downtown Greenway, Fisher Avenue & Simpson Street | 5:30-7 pm March Battle of Guilford Courthouse Reenactment Country Park hosts the Reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, a Revoluntionary War battle. Reenactors come from all over the east coast to participate. The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park has demonstrations and educational talks throughout the weekend. March 15-16 | Country Park | 10 am to 5 pm March Madness Bracket Challenge Participants will fill out brackets predicting the outcomes of NCAA tournament games for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights. Paper brackets are available at the center or fill out the bracket through the espn.com website. The winner will be announced after April 7. March 17-20 | Brown Recreation Center Great American Cleanup The Keep America Beautiful annual Great American Cleanup is the nation's largest community improvement program. Join our friends with Greensboro Beautiful and help clean up litter throughout Greensboro. Register today at www.greensborobeautiful.org. March 21-April 31 April Greater Greensboro Senior Games The Greater Greensboro Senior Games offer over 35 Olympic-style events at 12 venues throughout the City over the course of 5 weeks as well as the Silver Arts competition. Registration is open to any Guilford County resident age 50 or better.
