OPPORTUNITY

Buffalo Creek

Enhance the natural open space along Buffalo Creek as an accessible, ecological park (see also Plan2Play maps and recommendations that apply here). Plan for future greenway alignment and construction and ensure park is safe through proper timing and managed relationships with adjacent properties and development sites.

Case Study

The Bog Garden at Benjamin Park in Greensboro, North Carolina, is a unique 7-acre natural wetland preserve that offers visitors a peaceful, immersive experience in nature. Located at 1101 Hobbs Road, the garden features an elevated boardwalk that winds through lush wetlands, allowing guests to explore without disturbing the delicate ecosystem. One of its highlights is Serenity Falls, a man-made, recirculating waterfall nestled into a wooded hillside, providing a tranquil backdrop for walks, photography, and small gatherings.
