Shannon Woods Park is a 28.49-acre park that is surrounded by residential neighborhoods and connected to adjacent parks and schools by a greenway. The programmed area of the park is linear and runs adjacent to Tipperary Drive. Large areas of the park property are heavily wooded, which limits their utility for park programming and amenities, and wayfinding could be improved. Shannon Woods meets all criteria for the Plan2Play Master Plan except being a community destination as defined in the Plan2Play plan.
