Parks and Open Space Analysis: Greenhaven Park Area (Source: Bolton & Menk)

Greenhaven Park is an 18.33 acre linear park bordered by Lynhaven Drive and Ryan Creek. It features expansive grassy open spaces and a wooded edge along the creek and greenway, surrounded by residential neighborhoods. The park connects to Shannon Woods Park via a greenway. However, the multipurpose court lacks basketball hoops, the playground is in full sunlight without shade, and visibility beyond the greenway corridor is limited due to the adjacent woodlands. Greenhaven Park 5

Opportunities: » Upgrade park amenities to meet the Plan2Play Parks and Recreation Master Plan standards. » Extend the greenway north along Ryan Creek to connect to nearby neighborhoods and the Randleman Road corridor. » Address visibility concerns along the greenway and other wooded areas with lighting, selective clearing, and landscaping improvements. » Restore and enhance the multipurpose court by adding basketball hoops and ensuring proper maintenance (if supported by neighborhood).
