Parks & Open Space Analysis & Opportunities

Barber Park

Bluford Park

Legend

There are a handful of neighborhood parks grouped into three main areas in south Greensboro. These are mainly located in the center of the study area within single-family neighborhoods. In addition to these formal parks, there are several existing open spaces, greenway segments, and publicly owned properties that can be considered part of the area’s open space system. The map provides an inventory of existing parks, areas accessible to parks, existing and potential greenway networks, and areas where more parks may be needed or could be added in the future.

Once fully implemented, a network of greenways and creeks will link these parks and open spaces together. Additional key linkages will be needed to connect planned future growth areas along the Randleman Road corridor to the parks and open spaces located within these neighborhoods.
