» Establish a robust street network; consider “green street” features with ample space for cylcling and walking » Have a master plan for the area that provides more than just isolated industrial land uses » Industrial/employment focused, but consider other uses along the edges or transition areas, such as more walkable commercial towards major roadways and residential development to the north » Explore the potential for greenway networks and other public amenities, such as linear parks and open spaces with trails » Improve visual appearance standards (avoid red mulch, exposing the backs of buildings to roadways, etc.)

» Long term: explore redevelopment of Shoe Department out parcel to be more attractive from W Elmsley Drive (allow for reduced parking at Wal-mart if needed to accommodate retrofit) » Improve and maintain pedestrian connection at the end of Jerome Drive » Explore suitable development scenarios for site(s) northwest of Elm-Eugene / Elmsley intersection
