South Greensboro Area Plan - Public Review Draft - 9.25.25

Gateways, Streetscapes, and Catalyst Sites Community design connects gateways, streetscapes, and catalyst sites by creating a unified, attractive, and functional environment. At gateways, it establishes a sense of arrival and identity. Along streetscapes, it enhances walkability, safety, and visual appeal. For catalyst sites, it ensures new development fits the context and sparks broader revitalization. While this cohesive design will take time to fully realize, this plan provides guidance to ensure that each improvement contributes to the larger vision of a stronger, more connected community. As part of the south Greensboro planning process, workshop participants provided input on types of potential catalyst sites.
