Such tools are available to preserve certain areas of south Greensboro (special character, landscaping, vegetated buffers, etc.) and improve or retrofit others (adding trees to improve aesthetics and buffer noise, design streetscapes, etc.).

more. Analysis has shown the sites along the Urban Loop contained within this linear overlay are inconsistent (subtracted from) the regulatory maps. Analysis also shows that the portion of the Urban Loop and US-421 outside of Greensboro’s city limits is better preserved. A closer examination of the usage, enforcement and applicability of this tool is needed to more effectively achieve desired results.
