South Greensboro Area Plan - Public Review Draft - 9.25.25

Temporary Painted Sidewalks along Lynhaven Drive

A section of excess paved area along Lynhaven Drive can be repurposed into a painted sidewalk to enhance pedestrian safety and connectivity. By using durable, high-visibility paint, a clear walking path can be delineated without the need for costly reconstruction. This approach not only improves walkability but also calms traffic by visually narrowing the roadway. The painted sidewalk would provide a low-cost, quick-build solution to better accommodate pedestrians in an area currently dominated by vehicle infrastructure.

The existing roadway is too wide and there is no sidewalk.
