Beyond the street itself, improvements to adjacent properties—like reconfigured parking lots, added landscaping or public art, and new buildings closer to the street—can create more inviting, people-friendly spaces that encourage community interaction and longer visits. maintenance should be further evaluated in light of the corridor’s transformation goals and the feasibility of achieving them within NCDOT’s design and approval constraints.
