Five identical sessions are available this summer, June 17-21, July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-Aug 2, and cost $250 per camper. SERVICE LEARNING CAMP 15-18 years | June 24-28; July 8-12; July 15-19 | 10 am to 2 pm Looking for a resume-builder for your teen? Try one of the service-learning programs. Greensboro Youth Council's - Service Learning Camp offers three sessions in which students will learn about confronting poverty, embracing our active adult community, embracing inclusion, and fain hands-on experience with local organizations that are working on these community concerns. Students will earn volunteer hours while they participate. Cost is $80 per session. COUNSELOR IN TRAINING Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors | M-F | 7:30 am to 6 pm The Counselor in Training (CIT) program offers teens a chance to gain real work experience, service- learning hours, and leadership skills at one of Parks and Recreation’s summer camp locations. CIT takes place at community recreation centers. A one-time $40 registration fee applies. ENERGY AT THE PARK 5-15 years | M-Th | 10 am to 2 pm Don’t let summer boredom set in. ENERGY at the Park provides free, supervised activities and lunch at four neighborhood playgrounds. Sessions run June 24 until August 9. Sign up your 5- to 15-year-old child onsite at Hampton, Maywood, Sussman Street, or Woodmere parks. Registration begins onsite on June 24.
