August Greensboro Youth Council Open House GYC will host its annual open house to share information for teens interested in serving their community through unique youth-run events. August 15 | Central Library | 6 pm Family Fun Day Carnival Enjoy the last few days of summer with us at Lewis Recreation Center playing games, listening to music, getting your face painted, and more! August 25 | Lewis Recreation Center | 5-7 pm Back to School Block Party Join us as we wrap up the summer and celebrate the start of a new school year! Free food, games, activities for all ages, and school supply giveaways. August 26 | Brown Recreation Center | 11 am to 3 pm September Yappy Hour It's time for the pups to party! Come beat the heat and cool off at the end of summer with your favorite four-legged friend. Leashed dogs of all sizes are welcome to join the fun with splash pools, doggie treats, prize drawings, and more. September 6 | LoFi Park, Downtown Greenway | 5:30 7:30 pm Dog Day at Keeley Park Sprayground We are closing out summer with a splash. Bring your dogs to the Dog Day at the Keeley Park Sprayground. Admission is $5 for each dog. From

small to large dogs, let your dogs run around, meet other canines, and of course, take a break from the heat. September 9 | Keeley Park | 10 am to 12 noon Guilford County Native American Pow Wow We are partnering with the Guilford Native American Association for the annual Pow Wow. Come experience Native American culture through dances, music, art, storytelling, clothing, and socializing. September 15-17 | Country Park Downtown Greenway Run & Block Party Join Parks and Recreation for the 14th Annual Run & Block Party. Participate in the 4-mile race, a 1-mile fun walk/run, and stay for post-event block party. September 23 | LoFi Park, Downtown Greenway | 3-6 pm Open House & Health & Wellness Fair September is National Senior Center Month, and to celebrate we are hosting an Open House.
