This is a suite of 16 separate applications that handles the entire permitting process for building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and driveway permits. It includes apps for ofce staf to manage permits and accounts, inspectors to perform inspections in the feld, and contractors to request inspections online. Additionally, administrative back ends include applying payments from collections to the BI system, uploading contractor balances to accounting through Lawson, and sending monthly invoices to contractors for payment. This system allows payment of account balances online and provides City inspectors a visual map and route of daily required inspections. BI data is provided to Guilford County for increased accuracy of tax collection. Lastly, BI data is made available on the City’s Open Data Portal. An application to discover, track and issue Business Permits for businesses that reside in the City of Greensboro. It creates physical business permits, generates letters for businesses as they move through the permitting process, sends fnancials to accounting through Lawson, renews and un-licenses businesses who meet certain criteria, etc. It also allows businesses to pay balances due online for Business Permits. There is a public facing portion that allows new businesses to initiate the Business Permit process online by flling out a form with the requested information.
