Application Name Capital Improvement Projects

Description

Department

An application that tracks Capital Improvement Projects across the City organization. It has data entry and reporting features. An application that processes roster employee data and uploads it into Infor for the eventual printing of paychecks. An application for the Contact Center to track and route resident requests to the appropriate department for follow up. It features Enterprise Asset Management and Infor integration and an extensive knowledge base used by Contact Center representatives or other third parties. Additionally, there is 3rd party software supported that allows citizens to initiate chat sessions with Contract Center representatives. An application that enables videos produced by GTN, and all associated information, to be tracked throughout their life cycle. An application, with internal and external portals, that allows GTN to upload and display daily and monthly television schedules to be referenced for residents online. An application that enables videos produced by GTN, and all associated information, to be tracked throughout their life cycle. An application that enables the print shop to track, report, and print billing information for jobs completed. It includes a utility for processing print shop billing data and sending it to Infor for accounting purposes. This is a suite of 16 separate applications that handles the entire permitting process for building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and driveway permits. It includes apps for office staff to manage permits and accounts, inspectors to perform inspections in the field, and contractors to request inspections online. Additionally, administrative back ends include applying payments from collections to the BI system, uploading contractor balance to accounting through Infor, and sending monthly invoices to contracts for payment. This system allows payment of account balances online and provides City inspectors a visual map and route of daily required inspections. BI data is provided to Guilford County for increased accuracy of tax collections. Lastly, BI data is made available on the City’s Open Data portal. An application that enables plan review tracking across the City for plans submitted starting in September 2021. It has features such as displaying # of days a plan review is in process, plan version tracking, plan comment tracking, email notifications, internal and external plan upload portals, plan review history look up, plan review status display for public, etc. Additionally plan review summary data is also made available on the City’s Open Data portal. An application that allows continued management and tracking of plan reviews submitted to the City prior to September 2021. The Data Pipeline is a modular, single-use application designed to replace, over time, our myriad of non-financial data transfers and transformations. At present it manages only Active Directory logins and Infor Numbers, but it will be extended to include many of our aging-out operator and automated data extract and transfer processes. An application that obtains employee information from Infor and AD for use by many of our custom applications. A system that combines feeds from Active Directory and Infor to allow permissions to automatically be set up and maintained properly in SharePoint. An application that acts as middleware for all custom applications and operations that need to communicate with Infor. An application that moves employee photos from the badging system to a staging area for Infor, Kronos, and other custom applications so that employee images are available to those systems. An application that exports ID badge information to Microsoft Excel.
