• Color printing is typically not required by general business users. Given this selective need, as well as the high cost per page to print color copies, you are strongly encouraged to avoid printing in color when monochrome (black) will do. • If a new MFP or plotter is to be installed for a department, the IT staff will coordinate the installation with the vendor. • Report any malfunction of a leased printing device to the IT Service Desk at (336) 373-2322 as soon as possible. In general leased printers and plotters are acquired with the department’s understanding that the Service Desk cannot support printers and plotters not covered under a leased warranty.
• If a department has an MFP or plotter installed all service issues should be reported to the IT Service Desk at (336) 373-2322, not to the vendor.
ENFORCEMENT AND COMPLIANCE
Any employee who is found to have violated this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Questions regarding this policy should be directed to the IT Project Manager at (336) 373-7739.
