Technical Services Division 2024 Projects The Technical Services Division manages and assists with projects and daily operations for internal and external customers. Listed below are some of the projects completed in 2024. • Maintained the backup redundancy for the US Digital Designs fire automated alerting system. The system uses GM911’s customized, in house designed radio house set and interface for automated alerting redundancy for all City fire departments and several Guilford County departments. • Reprogrammed radio and other radio frequency devices for continued functionality among agencies. • Completed database maintenance and upgrades. • Aligned radios to manufacturer specifications for safety and optimal performance. • Maintained the City of Thomasville’s public safety and non-public safety radio systems, and radio units. • Maintained Guilford County’s Fire UHF paging system, a critical component of the County’s fire emergency notifications. • Completed security upgrades to tower site and radio system. • Added Guilford County Schools transportation and security division radios to the system. • Replaced radios for all City staff, including Police, Fire, and all general government departments. • Installed Smartconnect LTE for land mobile radio configurations.
