COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT Budget Highlights: The FY 21-22 Adopted Budget is increasing by $70,812, or 3.2%.  The budget includes reinstated reductions totaling $67,900, which addressed projected revenue shortfalls due to COVID-19.  The department added one (1) FTE, a Communications Specialist  The department transferred one (1) FTE to Libraries, a Communications Specialist.  Roku subscribers of GTN doubled this FY, allowing more viewers to stream the City’s TV channel.  The department continues to add users to the NextDoor platform to promote communication of a variety of City information.  Full page ads for the City’s “At Your Service” publication continues in the Spanish-language newspapers Qué Pasa and La Noticia.  Digital ads are displayed on the series of Downtown Kiosks and monitors at the Downtown Depot.
