We have a summer camp for every kid! Here’s the scoop on all our convenient, affordable camp options for kids ages 5-18. Camp registration begins March 1 at www.greensboro-nc.gov/summer
ALL STAR SPORTS SUMMER DAY CAMP 6-12 years | M-F | 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
If your grade-schooler needs an outlet for their endless energy, they belong at the All Star Sports Camp at the Greensboro Sportsplex. Kids will try a variety of sports and games at this day camp. Every morning will feature athletic-skills-building activities. After lunch, they’ll dive into their favorite camp games, like dodge ball and capture the flag. RECREATION CENTER DAY CAMP 5-12 years | M-F | 7:30 am to 6 pm If your family needs affordability and convenience, you can’t beat the recreation center day camp. We offer camps at nine centers citywide, early-morning drop-off hours, and free lunch for kids for just $85 per week. Fee assistance for families with financial need is also available. Kids, ages 5 to 12, in these camps also get special sessions from professionals across the department. They’ll learn camp songs, explore the gardens, learn how to golf, and perfect their cannon balls alongside experienced staff. “Many of our staff are teachers or work in some atmosphere with kids. It’s people with experience,” said 2021 Warnersville summer camp director Laronica Vance. CAMP JOY 5+ years | M-F | 9 am to 3 pm If you have a family member 5 years old or older with a disability, Camp Joy is a great way to get an inclusive summer camp experience. Camp Joy, located at Hagan-Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, has arts and crafts, fishing, daily swimming, and a camp talent show. There are special weeks for campers with developmental disabilities and visual COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS Camps will follow safety protocols to keep staff and campers healthy all summer.
