Downtown Greenway Community Picnic The Downtown Greenway Community Picnic is back! Bring your friends and family out to enjoy some fresh air, delicious food, live entertainment, and community connections. Tickets will be available to pre-order meals from local restaurants or reserve seats and pack your own picnic! October 26 | 4-6 pm | Downtown Greenway, Woven Works Park Trunk Or Treat Get dressed up for Halloween and come play games and win prizes and grab some treats. Ages 12 and under | October 31 | 6:30-8:30 pm | Craft Recreation Center November Santa Mail Write letters to Santa and the big guy will write back before taking his big trip on Christmas Eve. November 4-29 | Greensboro Cultural Center, Lewis, and Griffin Recreation Centers Santa's Workshop Toy Drive GYC's annual drive collecting new and like new toys to provide to families for the holiday. Monetary donations are also accepted to purchase toys. November 3 to December 1 | Find your nearest donation location at www.greensboro-nc.gov/santasworkshop Pumpkin Smash We bet those pumpkins on your porch will be looking and smelling a bit odd by November. Well don't trash it, SMASH it! November 1 | 10 am to 12 noon | Lake Brandt Marina Greensboro Veteran's Day Parade This annual parade honors and celebrates the service and sacrifice of U.S. Military veterans. The parade features marching bands, military units, veteran organization, and patriotic floats. November 8 | 11 am | Downtown Greensboro

Fall Festival Griffin Recreation Center is celebrating autumn with free food, games and music that the whole family can enjoy. We'll also have lots of great raffle prizes! November 22 | 12 noon to 3 pm | Griffin Recreation Center

December Festival of Lights

The Festival of Lights has been a holiday tradition for almost 40 years. Each year, the festival includes holiday favorites like the community sing-along, lighting of the community tree in Center City Park, Santa, carolers, and acoustic performances along Elm Street. December 5 | 5:30-9 pm | Downtown Greensboro Greensboro Holiday Parade Kick off the holiday season in downtown Greensboro for the Holiday Parade. This parade features festive floats, several performance groups, and a special visit from Santa Claus. December 6 | 12 noon | Downtown Greensboro Oh Gingerbread Calling all individuals 50 years and better! Come celebrate the holiday season with games, holiday themed BINGO, a hot chocolate bar, refreshments, and more. December 19 | 11 am to 1 pm | Craft Recreation Center
