August COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT FESTIVAL To provide the community with information on programs and clubs, including Brown Center. August 8 | 2-5:30 pm Brown Recreation Center September FALL RUN WALK BIKE A-THON Participants can run, walk, or bike at their leasure to meet a target distance. All participants will receive a tshirt, medal, and cup. September 1-30 ADULT FOOTGOLF DAYS Adults 21+ come play a round of Footgolf for only $5 on a beautiful Friday evening from 5-6:30 pm. You must reserve your tee time. $5 per person. Beverages available for purchase. September 3 | 5-6:30 pm Gillespie Golf Course DOG DAY AT KEELEY PARK SPRAYGROUND We are closing out summer with a splash. On Saturday, September 11, from 10 am to 12 noon, you are invited to bring your dogs to the Dog Day at Keeley Park Sprayground. Admission is $5 for each dog. From small to large dogs, let your dogs to run around, meet other canines and of course, take a break from the heat. Annual Halloween event in downtown Greensboro with games, activities, RECREATION’S FALL DANCE Individuals with disability will have the opportunity to gather with peers to socialize with their dancing shoes on! October 26 | 6-8 pm Barber Park Event Center TRUNK OR TREAT Kids will enjoy the Halloween holiday by going from one vehicle trunk to another receiving lots of goodies to enjoy. October 29 | 7 pm Windsor Recreation Center November PUMPKIN SMASH Don’t just trash it, SMASH IT! Bring your pumpkins to Lake Brandt to launch from a trebuchet or sling shot. You can also smash it with a sledge hammer. Pumpkins will be composted. November 6 | 10 am-12 noon crafts, and FREE candy! October 23 | 2-6 pm LeBauer Park ADAPTIVE & INCLUSIVE

Keeley Park Sprayground October CAROLINAS ADAPTIVE STANDING TENNIS TOURNAMENT Adaptive standing tennis players from around the world will travel to Greensboro, NC, October 1-3, 2021 to the 2nd Carolinas Adaptive Standing Tennis Tournament at Pinetop Sports Club. We cordially invite any and all standing adaptive athletes to participate in this event. This tournament and the youth clinic are designed for individuals with physical disabilities or limitations using adaptive techniques to compete and learn the sport of tennis. Whether you have played in the past or are new to the sport, tennis provides a great opportunity to have fun and compete through sport. October 1-3 | 3-5 pm Pinetop Sport Club CAROLINAS ADAPTIVE STANDING TENNIS KIDS DAY This fun and interactive event will introduce youth to standing adaptive tennis through fun games and instruction. October 2 | 4 pm Pinetop Sports Club ART IN THE ARBORETUM Juried art competition, traditionally with 50 artists, three stages of live music, and several food vendors with areas for kids and dogs to create their own artwork.
