As the City of Greensboro implements Vision Zero strategies to move toward zero transportation fatalities and serious injuries, the transportation system will need to accommodate even more road users than in the past. The North Carolina Office of State Budget and Management expects the Guilford County community to add nearly 100,000 residents by 2035. Partnerships between agencies and safety stakeholders are essential for the success of the Vision Zero Greensboro goal of zero transportation fatalities and serious injuries. These relationships will strengthen the City’s ability to collect and analyze data, as well as build inter-agency cooperation that can address many of the community’s needs. Continued engagement with existing and potential partners will contribute to monitoring, implementing, and updating the Action Plan.
