Electric Duke Energy
Duke Energy offers a variety of rates for business and industry. They offer incentives for energy efficiency improvements that include new construction or retrofit projects. Several major transmission lines run throughout the study area, as shown on the map on page 164. Gas Piedmont Natural Gas Piedmont Natural Gas is a Charlotte-based energy company that provides natural gas services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the Carolinas and Tennessee. It specializes in the transportation, marketing, and distribution of natural gas and is a subsidiary of Duke Energy. Types of assistance offered include: natural gas availability, energy analysis, site analysis, drawings and site surveys and applicable tariff information. The Piedmont Natural Gas Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Station located at 2611 Greengate Drive, Greensboro, NC 27406 is a publicly accessible fueling station that operates 24/7 and is designed for both fleet and personal natural gas vehicles. Waste Water Treatment City of Greensboro City of Greensboro has two treatment facilities: North Buffalo Creek Water Reclamation Facility and the TZ Osborne facility. The City pulls from three watershed reservoirs and has agreements with two neighboring water systems for additional capacity. Water capacity is 52 mgd and sewer capacity is 56 mgd.

Water and Sewer City of Greensboro Water is pumped from three watershed reservoirs to one of two treatment plants where the water is cleaned, tested, and pumped into the distribution system. Of the 15 largest utilities in North Carolina, Greensboro has the third lowest rate in the state. The City of Greensboro is building interest and advocating for a regional utility approach for the provision of water and sewer service with regional partners, neighbors like Sedalia and Pleasant Garden, and other stakeholders.
