CHAPTER CONTENTS

As part of a comprehensive vision for south Greensboro’s future, this plan introduces a special chapter that synthesizes Draft community aspirations, planning principles, and strategic priorities into a cohesive growth framework. At the heart of this chapter is a conceptual diagram—a vision map—that illustrates how targeted investments, land use changes, and infrastructure improvements can guide the area’s transformation. This map reflects the community’s voice and the plan’s intent to shape a more connected, vibrant, and inclusive south Greensboro.

Community input played a central role in shaping this vision. Residents and stakeholders consistently emphasized the need to revitalize aging commercial corridors, particularly along Randleman Road, which has long served as a key artery for south Greensboro. The plan responds by positioning Randleman Road as the central commerical spine for growth, vibrancy, identity, and placemaking. This reinforces the goals of the Randleman Road Corridor Phase 2 Plan, which calls for a mix of uses, improved streetscapes, and a stronger sense of place.
