Under the GoBORO Plan, this system will be enhanced with increased frequency along Randleman Road and expanded coverage into underserved areas like Lynhaven Drive and Greenhaven Drive. A major component of this transformation is the CrossMAX Orange Line, a high-frequency, limited-stop route along Randleman Road. It is designed to support transit-oriented development (TOD) by providing faster, more reliable service that encourages reinvestment and higher-density, mixed-use development along the corridor. The CrossMAX system includes stop upgrades such as enhanced shelters, real-time arrival displays, improved lighting, and ADA compliant infrastructure to improve rider experience and safety. Service upgrades include more frequent buses, longer hours of service, and streamlined routes to reduce travel times and improve reliability.
