New Network Areas Through Development As new development occurs, there is an opportunity to integrate pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and connect with existing facilities. These new network areas can serve as vital links between existing streets, trails, and transit stops. continually updated as new plans are adopted. This resource may be viewed as an interactive map here. Special Type of Connections Several types of special connections are being considered to enhance multimodal access. These include greenway crossings where features like bike boxes, skip lines, and curb ramps may be added, especially at signalized intersections. Stream crossings are also evaluated for potential bike-pedestrian bridges. Additionally, greenway and bikeway facilities are planned to link the study area with destinations to the north and south. Opportunities exist to connect greenways to nearby neighborhoods using remnant rights-of-way, public lands, or easements.
