Adult Recess Mark your calendars, arrange the baby sitters, and rally your friends. Adult Recess is back! Adult Recess is a 21+ only FREE event that allows adults to be kids for a night. This year we return to Barber Park Sprayground. There will be nostalgic playground games, a DJ playing all the old hits, food, adult beverages, and more. Ages 21+ | July 10 | Barber Park Sprayground | 6-9 pm Movie In the Park Join us as we celebrate Parks and Recreation month with a free, family friendly movie under the stars. We will be joined by the Greensboro Police Department grill team serving up hot dogs fresh from the grill. July 18 | Hester Park | 8:15 pm Music for a Sunday Evening in the Park Head outside and join Creative Greensboro for an evening of music for the entire family from local performers. July 19 | Barber Park | 6 pm Summer Sunset Series @ Lake Brandt Watch the sunset on the lake with music, food beverages, games, and best of all...the sunset. July 28 | Lake Brandt Marina | 7-9 pm Creative Greensboro will collaborate once again with little independent theatre, Scrapmettle, and Shared Radiance Performing Arts - to bring you the wildly popular Sonnet Fest! This free event will feature creative performances of Shakespeare's Sonnets 51 101 in gathering spaces along the recently-completed Western Branch section of the Downtown Greenway. Reggae Festival Come celebrate reggae culture in our community, with live music, games, and food. August 15 | Barber Park | 6-9 pm Leonard Center Community Enrichment Festival This festival is designed to provide neighborhood residents with information regarding enrichment resources from local small businesses and programs through non-profit, health and wellness that contribute to the community's overall physical and intellectual growth. August 15 | Leonard Recreation Center | 2-5 pm Music for a Sunday Evening in the Park Head outside and join Creative Greensboro for an evening of music for the entire family from local performers. August 9 | Hester Park | 6 pm August 23 | Country Park | 6 pm Superhero Family Fun Day Enjoy arts, crafts and fun games with the family dressed as your favorite superhero. August 21 | Lewis Recreation Center | 6-8 pm Summer Sunset Series @ Lake Brandt Watch the sunset on the lake with music, food beverages, games, and best of all...the sunset. August 25 | Lake Brandt Marina | 6-8:30 pm Wyndham Championship Founded in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, the Wyndham Championship is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR, and the 2024 tournament is the 85th year of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event.
