Adult Recess Mark your calendars, arrange the baby sitters, and rally your friends. Adult Recess is back! Adult Recess is a 21+ only FREE event that allows adults to be kids for a night. This year we return to Barber Park Sprayground. There will be nostalgic playground games, a DJ playing all the old hits, food and beverage vendors, complete access to the sprayground, and so much more. July 12 | 6-9 pm | Barber Park South Side Series - Summer Film Screening Grab a blanket, lawn chairs, and your loved ones and join us at Dorothy Brown Park for free treats and food (while supplies last) and watch some of our favorite films under the stars! The July 12 movie will be "Crooklyn." July 12 | 7:30 pm | Dorothy Brown Park Movie in the Park Join us as we celebrate Parks and Recreation month with a free, family friendly movie under the stars. We will be joined by our friends with the Greensboro Police Department grill team serving up hot dogs fresh from the grill. July 20 | 8 pm | Hester Park Maker's Way at Gateway Come get creative with us in the garden! Vendors from around Greensboro will demonstrate arts from glass blowing to making pottery to poetry and so much more! Performances and vendors will fill the garden with fun for the whole family. July 27 | 11 am to 2 pm | Gateway Gardens Architect of Black Space and Greensboro Parks and Recreation are excited to partner to present the Gate City Street Night Market. A curated space to buy local, buy used, and support local Black owned businesses. July 27 | 5-9 pm | Downtown Greenway - Corner of S.Elm St. and Bragg St. South Side Series - Street Night Market

The day starts with the Freedom Run at 7:30 am and continues with family-friendly festivities during the Freedom Fest from 1-6 pm.
