GREENSBORO MOUNTAIN BIKING EXPERIENCE INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL SERIES This series is designed for people who have mastered the basics of mountain biking and are ready to move onto the next level of skill. Our instructors are advanced level professionals who can work on getting you to the level you would like to be at. Need a bike? No problem, we will provide one. Bald Eagle Trail Ages 9+ | August 23, 30, September 6, 27, October 11, 18 | 5:30-7:30 pm 336-373-2481 HORSESHOES A lawn game played using horseshoes and two throwing targets set in a lawn. Outdoor horseshoe pits available for play dawn until dusk. Smith Community Park All Ages 336-373-7564 LITTLES ON THE LAKE Join our environmental education staff for a fun-filled, preschool nature program. Explore the outdoors with us. TAKE A KID MOUNTAIN BIKING DAY Join Parks and Recreation staff for Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day! The experience is free, however, the number of bikes we have is limited so registration is required. Lake Higgins All Ages | October 8 | 1-3 pm 336-373-2481 TENNIS OPEN PLAY Open play tennis facilities are available and open to the public on a first-come, first served basis. Various Locations All Ages TRAILS & GREENWAYS Get outside on our over 100 miles of trails and greenways – including garden paths, mountain bike trails, paved greenways, and watershed trails – there is something for everyone. Various locations All Ages TUESDAY AT THE TRAILHEAD Free drop-in fitness classes on the beautiful Downtown Greenway in partnership with the Greensboro YMCA. Multiple types of classes offered. Morehead Park Trailhead All Ages | Tuesdays through September | 6-7 pm WATERCOLOR ON THE LAKE Get ready to paint on the lake. Participants will take kayaks out onto the lake and create their own unique piece of art. Materials will be provided. Lake Townsend 13+ | September 16, October 14 | 10 am to 12 noon
OUTDOOR VOLLEYBALL Just like indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground on the opponent’s side of the court.
