How to use Microsoft Teams: 1. To schedule a meeting in MS Teams, open your outlook toolbar. You should see the following:

If you do not see the Teams button make sure you are logged onto Teams before opening Outlook. If you do not see this option, contact the service desk for assistance.

2. Click the “New Teams Meeting” button to create a Teams Meeting invite.

Note: Teams meetings do not currently include a dial-in option. Users from outside the organization can still join your Teams meetings and participate in audio/video conferencing, but will not have the ability to join via telephone. They may access the Teams meeting via their smartphones and still receive the same audio/video experience as a dial-in user.

NAVIGATING TEAMS Chats

You can begin a private chat with a user by right-clicking the “Chat” button and selecting “New Chat”. These chats are only visible to you and the users you invite to the chat. Teams Teams are department-level organizational units where you can group channels. Channels are group chats that can be created as “visible to all members of the Team” or private channels where only those who are invited can view and participate. Clicking the “Teams’ button on the left will show you a list of all Teams that you are a member of or that are visible to you. You can join or create a Team by clicking the link at the bottom of the window. Channels Clicking the “. . .” next to a Team you are a member of will present these menu options. From here you can create a channel.
