Case Study: Woodmere Park

These parks can be better highlighted as special environmental resources by projects that: • Incorporate appropriately scaled programs into the park that reflect community needs and desires and centralize program registration online and in local recreation facilities.

• Get the word out about local programs online, and through broad reaching mailings such as the city water bill. • Install consistent signage in parks and facilities.

Linear parks with multiple entrances and limited signage are often misconstrued as vacant open spaces rather than city- owned parks. Woodmere Park is a low- lying linear park along Muddy Creek which is surrounded by a well-established neighborhood.
