Action 2e. Develop a department wide, comprehensive facility and program catalog. Currently, there is not a digital or hard- copy comprehensive program catalog where potential participants can learn about all city programs. Although this investment has a cost and technology can achieve some of the same goals, it still remains an important way to notify users about programs and modes of registration. Given the lack of awareness of the system offerings that was stated in the community survey, the Department should reinstate the program guide as an important tool to reach users. • Reinstate a Comprehensive Program Catalog - Greensboro’s program catalog should be created seasonally and available in hard copy and electronically. It should include information on both in-house and outsourced / co-sponsored program offerings. The program guide and website should both be synchronized and comprehensive sources of all information about the Department’s offerings. Finally, it should integrate with the program registration process (see below).

Action 2f. Fully integrate the centralized registration process. The Department should fully implement and integrate a universal central registration process that works in conjunction with a full online program catalog. Key steps include: • Encourage staff training - Conduct staff training on central registration use through platforms like RecTrac. Dedicate a full-time staff person to implement and manage RecTrac. This role may also be able to fill some of the other marketing staff needs. • Streamline the registration process - Encourage people to sign up for programs online or at any Greensboro parks and recreation facilities, regardless of whether that facility will host the program. • Provide public computers - Incorporate a public computer in the lobby area of all recreation centers and Libraries that is set up specifically for parks and recreation program registration and updates.
