GFD Welcomes First Black Female Drivers In February 2024, the Greensboro Fire Department celebrated fourteen promotions to Engineer, marking a significant milestone in career progression. Notably, the department congratulates Jurica Isangedighi and Cameron McLean, GFD’s first two African American female engineers. This is another step in our goal to enhance diversity in recruitment, development, retention, and promotion. These achievements underscore our dedication to advancing careers and fostering a workforce that serves our community with excellence and equity.
