COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING

Communications and Marketing: The department assists other City departments with curating marketing materials for services, special events and high-profile projects. Staff coordinates news conferences and serves as the City's official liaison with the news media. The department updates the City's social media platforms, external website and CityNet site with timely information. Staff provides marketing, script writing, editing, and speech writing services. The Graphic Services Division provides cost-effective creative design and printing services to the City of Greensboro, Guilford County, City of High Point, and nonprofit organizations. The department drafts and distributes news releases, brochures, creates PowerPoints and internal and external newsletters. Responsible for displaying posters on digital kiosks and GTA busses. Greensboro Television Network (GTN): Broadcasts programming 24 hours / 7 days a week. GTN primarily broadcasts original programs featuring City departments and local businesses, FYI Weekly newscast, municipal and County government meetings, talk show Gate City Insider. The Talk City Greensboro podcast is available on all podcast platforms. Talk City Greensboro En Espanol is the Spanish version of the podcast. GTN also produces animated videos. The channel is available on YouTube and Cable Cast for streaming TV subscribers. First government access channel in NC to broadcast on Roku. GTN highlights the people, places, and businesses that call Greensboro home.
