Budget Highlights: The FY 25-26 Recommended Budget is increasing by $141,969 or 13.6%. During FY 24-25 one (1) position, a Budget & Management Analyst, was added mid-year.

During FY 24-25, the department facilitated the annual Employee Innovation Award, which celebrates city employees who use creativity and ingenuity to solve problems, save money or positively changed the way the organization does business. The award includes two categories; Impact and Innovation. First place for Impact was awarded to Beau Bradley, Branch Manager for the Vance Chavis Library, for their Summer Block Party. First place for Innovation was awarded to Troy Powell, Neighborhood Impact Coordinator with Housing & Neighborhood Development, for the trailer expansion at the Doorway Project.
