FINAL ADOPTED BUDGET 2020-2021

COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT Budget Highlights: The FY 20-21 Adopted Budget is decreasing by $57,315, or 2.6%.  The budget includes reductions to advertising in print media and travel and training expenses , totaling $66,700 , in an effort to address projected revenue shortfalls due to COVID-19.  The department now provides news briefs on Alexa available through Alexa Skills.  Communications has established a partnership with NCA&T to promote City news on 90.1FM.  GTN programs are now available to stream online through Roku.  The department has incorporated the NextDoor platform to promote a variety of City information.  Full page ads continue in the Spanish-language newspapers Qué Pasa and La Noticia.
