Battle of Guilford Courthouse Reenactment Country Park hosts the Reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, a revolutionary war battle. Reenactors come from all over the east coast to participate in this annual event. The National Military Park has demonstrations and educational talks throughout this weekend. March 12-13 | 10 am to 5 pm | Country Park Mother-Son Date Night Spend Mother’s Day on a date with your special guy. Enjoy music, a portrait session, dinner, and a special ceremony to honor the mothers. Cost is $20. March 27 | 6-8 pm | Warnersville Recreation Center Chalk Walk Join us in the Greensboro Arboretum for our Chalk Walk 2022. Register to participate as an artist, or just stroll around the arboretum and admire the art- work. We will judge in catagories of, best children’s, best family, best overall, and fan favorite. March 27 | 1-5 pm | Greensboro Arboretum Participants will be able to hunt for treat filled eggs, take home a craft to do with their pet, compete in a costume contest, and visit with the vendors on site. All canine visitors must arrive leashed and up to date on vaccinations. April 9 | 9 am-12 Noon | Griffin Recreation Center Cultural Awareness Project Showcase The Cultural Awareness Project will accept submissions during the month of March. VolunteerWorkdays Greensboro parks needs your help this spring! Join us for a volunteer workday. These workdays will last approximately an hour. Activities will include picking up litter from the park, street, and stream, planting annuals, cleaning play equipment, and painting the swing set. Disposable gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please bring a water bottle for yourself, it will be warm! Children are welcome, but parents are required to stay with them the whole time. Contact alexandra.zaleski@greensboro-nc.gov
