January 22 for 22 Winter Workout Challenge Let’s welcome the new year with 22 miles. From January 1 through January 31, we are encouraging you to walk, run, bike, or boat 22 miles. Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered to win a Parks and Recreation prize package worth about $200. Register online, and we will send you motivation and tips to your inbox throughout the month. January 1- January 31 New Year’s Day Footgolf Whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned vet; we invite you to come play footgolf on New Year’s Day at Gillespie Golf Course. Use this as way to log in some miles for our 22 for 22 Winter Workout Challenge. from Greensboro and surrounding Triad cities will host Bridging the Triad, a competition to see who can create the most efficient popsicle stick bridge. The Greensboro Parks and Recreation department will provide free supplies to kids and adults who participate. Feburary 5 and Feburary 22 | Griffin Recreation Center Valentine’s Date Night Kit The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a COVID-19 safe solution to the Valentine’s Day night out – a Date Night Kit. The $20 kit includes all the supplies and instructions for treats, crafts, and activities to be enjoyed at home with your partner. Feburary 11 | Registration Required March Words Matter Poetry Contest We are excited to offer Words Matter Poetry Contest again!
