NATURE CREATIONS Participants will learn about horticulture through arts and crafts projects by using resources and supplies from nature. Warnersville Recreation Center All Ages | Monthly FREE FREE Our summer camps provide a safe, structured, fun, and welcoming environment. Each week is filled with fun activities including games, sports, wellness education, outside time, environmental education, creative play, and interest-based skill building. Free lunch is served daily. Registration opens on March 1, 2022. Camp begins June 13, 2022. STUDENT IMPROVEMENT AWARDS This monthly award is designed to recognize middle and high school students who have worked hard to change their lives personally or academically. Nominations accepted each month through April 2021 Middle or high school student in Guilford County sia@greensboro-nc.gov WEDANZ A youth/teen dance organization specializing in the styles of hip hop, majorette, jazz, pop, pom and more. At WeDanz your child will not only learn the latest cutting edge dances, they will also learn dance techniques taught in studios all over the world. This will be a 4-session program in January that will culminate in a challenge to build a bridge that will be entered into the “Bridging the Triad” competition in February. Kids Night Out On the first Friday of each month parents can drop off their kids at Griffin Recreation Center for a fun night of activities. We will have an evening of games, crafts, dinner and a movie. Ages 5-12 | First Fridays, January-June | Griffin Recreation Center Saturday Morning Art A fun and relaxing way for youth to express themselves through paint. Participants will paint, listen to age appropriate music and enjoy snacks with others while practicing social distancing.
