ADAPTIVE PADDLING EXPERIENCE

$ Join our friends from Get Outdoors Pedal & Paddle this spring to learn adaptive kayaking techinques and feel more independent on the water. Lake Higgins April 1 | 10:30 am to 12 noon ADAPTIVE TENNIS FREE GRETA has partnered with Greensboro Parks and Recreation, High Point Parks and Recreation, and Kernersville Parks and Recreation to help grow the sport of tennis for wheelchair and standing adaptive players in our community. Our mission is to expose individuals with all levels of physical disability to the sport of tennis. Deep River Recreation Center Tennis Courts 2nd Saturdays and 2nd & 4th Tuesdays | March December | 11 am to 1 pm BLIND AUDIO DARTS FREE The game uses a variation of soft tipped darts in which the visually impaired toss to an audio speaking dart board. Gentle form of yoga is practiced in a chair. Smith Active Adult Center Thursdays | 10:15-11:15 am CHALLENGER BASKETBALL & CHEERLEADING FREE Challenger Basketball’s purpose is to give children and young adults with disabilities an opportunity to participate in a league and join a cheerleading team. All of this is done in a safe, structured, and team environment. Bryan Park Ages 10-35 | January 18-March 7 | 10:30 am to 12:45 pm COMMUNITY DAY TRIPS FREE-$ Who doesn’t like to take an adventure? We will go throughout the community to explore new places and socialize with peers. Fees include transportation. Various Locations Tuesdays | Various times
