THE EDIBLE SCHOOLYARD AT GATEWAY GARDENS FREE At Gateway Garden's educational garden we will grow participants skills in gardening and cooking. Through fun family friendly experiential activities to cultivate an understanding of food's origins from seed to table. Gateway Gardens 2nd Wednesdays from April to September | 9:30-11 am | 336-373-2199 ENERGY AT THE PARK FREE ENERGY at the Park provides free, supervised activities and lunch at four neighborhood playgrounds. Sessions run June 23 until August 7. Sign up your child onsite. Eastside, Hampton, Sussmans Street, Woodmere Parks 5-15 years | Monday-Thursday | 10 am to 2 pm FIRST FRIDAY STORYTIME FREE Young children will enjoy engaging books, cheerful songs, and playful movement with the Greensboro Public Library. Then stay and play at Woven Works Park's accessible playground features! First 15 families can receive a free book, courtesy of Ready for School, Ready for Life and The Basics Guilford. All Recreaton Centers Ages 5-12 | Monday-Friday | 2-6 pm | 336-373-2558 COUNSELOR IN TRAINING $$ The Counselor in Training (CIT) Program ofers teens a chance to gain real work experience, service learning hours, and leadership skills. Recreation Centers Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors | June 16-August $ Class teaches youth and adults the sport of fencing. Participants learn how to fence in preparation for tournaments and non-competitive recreation.
