November Santa Mail Write letters to Santa and the big guy will write back before taking his big trip on Christmas Eve. November 2-30 | Greensboro Cultural Center, Lewis and Griffin Recreation Centers Adult Game Night A night for adults 18+ where they play games, bowl, eat, and sing karaoke. November 6 | 6:30-8:30 | Greensboro Sportsplex Pumpkin Smash We bet those pumpkins on your porch will be looking and smelling a bit odd by November. Well don't trash it, SMASH it! November 7 | 10 am to 12 noon | Lake Brandt Marina Santa's Workshop Toy Drive GYC's annual drive collecting new and like new toys to provide to families for the holiday. Monetary donations are also accepted to purchase toys. November 9 to December 4 | Find your nearest donation location at www.greensboro-nc.gov/santasworkshop All Girls Sports Expo: Basketball Girls of all skill levels are invited to learn and improve their basketball skills in a fun, supportive environment. Participants will practice basketball fundamentals, build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and make new friends while enjoying the game. November 13 | 6-8 pm | Greensboro Sportsplex Greensboro Veteran's Day Parade This annual parade honors and celebrates the service and sacrifice of U.S. Military veterans. The parade features marching bands, military units, veteran organization, and patriotic floats. November 7 | 12 noon | Downtown Greensboro Fall Festival Griffin Recreation Center is celebrating autumn with free food, games and music that the whole family can enjoy. We'll also have lots of great raffle prizes!
November 21 | 12 noon to 3 pm | Griffin Recreation Center Thankful Painting At Craft Thanksgiving holiday painting activities and movie play for kids to paint during the holiday season. Drinks and snacks will also be included. November 23 | 10 am to 12 noon | Craft Recreation Center The Festival of Lights has been a holiday tradition for almost 45 years. Each year, the festival includes holiday favorites like the community sing-along, lighting of the community tree in Center City Park, Santa, carolers, and acoustic performances along Elm Street. December 4 | 5-9 pm | Downtown Greensboro Greensboro Holiday Parade Kick off the holiday season in downtown Greensboro for the Holiday Parade. This parade features festive floats, several performance groups, and a special visit from Santa Claus. December 5 | 12 noon | Downtown Greensboro Greenway Holiday Extravaganza An evening of holiday fun, exploring three unique spaces along the Downtown Greenway transformed into festive cultural experiences. Each location will celebrate a different holiday - Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa - where guests can enjoy hands-on crafts, taste seasonal treats, and experience the joy and meaning of each tradition. December 5 | 5:30-7:30 pm | Woven Works Park, Vigilance, Freedom Cornerstone Oh Gingerbread Calling all individuals 50 years and better! Come celebrate the holiday season with games, holiday themed BINGO, a hot chocolate bar, refreshments, and more. December 18 | 11 am to 1 pm | Craft Recreation Center December Festival of Lights
