Halloween Events Spooky, Scary Greensboro As leaves begin to change colors, and a hint of crispy cool air descend upon the area, it can only mean one thing: It’s Spooky Season. That’s right folks, Halloween is upon us and it’s time to celebrate accordingly! This year the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department is set to host some of its most festive events, including Ghoulash!, Halloween Extravaganza, Howl-o-ween, and Pumpkin Smash. So come out all ye boys and ghouls, and discover the upcoming Halloween festivities hosted by the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department! CRAFTY KIDS CLUB Friday, October 2 | 4:30-6 pm For Children and families looking to explore their artistic side during this year’s spooky season, the Crafty Kids Club will host a special Halloween-themed outing with its Pumpkin Paint Party. Held at Morehead

Park Trailhead on the Downtown Greenway, 475 Spring Garden St., this free event offers up the chance to make and take home your very own DIY arts and craft project. All supplies are provided, and staff on-site can help guide the process – or let the children's imaginations take the lead! HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA Saturday, October 17 | 7-9:30 pm Hester Park, 3615 Deutzia St., is once again playing host to the City’s Halloween Extravaganza! This October prepare yourself for a fun outing to the park where visitors can catch zombies on the spooky trails, enjoy s’mores by a bon fire, or enjoy a number of yard games while listening to music. And what would a fall outing be during the Halloween season if there weren’t ghost stories? You can’t have bon fires and s’mores without scary stories, so take a seat and enjoy some spooky stories about ghosts and ghouls throughout the night’s affair.
