Trunk or Treats Warnersville and Windsor Recreation Centers will host truck or treats. Enjoy the candy, costumes, and decorated cars in a safe, controlled environment. Warnersville: October 15, 12 noon to 5 pm | Windsor: October 31, 6:30 pm November Pumpkin Smash We bet those pumpkins on your porch will be looking and smelling a bit odd by November. Well, don't trash it, SMASH IT! November 5 | Lake Brandt | 10 am to 12 noon Santa's Workshop Toy Drive GYC annual drive collecting new and like new toys to provide to families for the holiday. Monetary donations are also accepted to purchase toys. November 7-December 9 | Find your nearest donation location at www.greensboro-nc.gov/santasworkshop Adpative Sports Expo Try a variety of adaptive sports such as goal ball, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, beep baseball, sitting volleyball, biking, and boccia. November 5 | Greensboro Sportsplex | 11 am to 2 pm Holiday Recipe Swap and Demo Bring your favorite holiday recipes to share with others and grab some new ones for yourself before the holidays get hectic. We will also pick a recipe to make and taste test. November 10 | Brown Recreation Center | 5:30 pm Santa Mail Write letters to Santa and drop off at any of our Santa Mailboxes. Fall Festival at Griffin Rec Center Griffin Recreation Center is celebrating autumn with free food, games, and music that the whole family can enjoy. We'll also have lots of great raffle prizes, activities, and more!! November 19 | Griffin Recreation Center | 1-4 pm Harvest Meal at Warnersville Time for those to come enjoy a nice warm meal. Also time to celebrate the holidays with soft music and great dining. November 19 | Warnersville Recreation Center | 12:30 4:30 pm How about some sweet competition? Compete for the title of Gingerbread Champion in the third annual Greensboro Gingerbread Wars. Send your gingerbread designs to gsoparksandrec@greens boro-nc.gov by December 12 to enter. Catagories include family, ages 3-6, ages 7-11, ages 12-14, 18+, and overall grand prize winner. December 1-12 | Virtual Holiday Cookie Decorating Get into the holiday spirit by creating cookies that taste as good as they look.
