Creative Greensboro Annual Report 2025-26
Creative Work Deserves Compensation
Talent has value, and investing in it matters. In the 2025-2026 fiscal year, Creative Greensboro put $450,000 directly into the hands of artists, creative workers, and cultural organizations. It turned public investment into paid, creative opportunities that support livelihoods, strengthen organizations, and keep creative dollars circulating in our community. When creatives get paid, Greensboro’s creative economy gets stronger.
Poet Laureate Program Creative Greensboro manages the City’s Poet Laureate Program, which promotes the art of poetry and literacy. James Daniels, the 2026 2028 Poet Laureate, led free, citywide programs and curated the City’s annual Poetry Month celebration during First Friday programming at the Greensboro Cultural Center in his first year as Greensboro’s Poet Laureate.
