CHAPTER 9 - COMMUNICATIONS & GRIEVANCE

Effective communications are critical to the fulfillment of our mission to create equitable opportunities for our community and region. GuilfordWorks collaborates with stakeholders to reinforce the mission, vision and values; facilitate change; foster process improvement; and drive business results by incorporating workforce and economic development practices that connect job seekers and employers in fundamental ways.

9.1 PURPOSE

GuilfordWorks establishes a set of principles to ensure that communication across all departments is effective and appropriate and responds to the diverse information needs of all our stakeholders. The purpose of the Workplace Communication Policy is to: ● Articulate that all communication by staff should reflect the mission, vision and values of GuilfordWorks and the City of Greensboro ● Deliver the framework upon which a solid workplace communications strategy can be built ● Provide clear and timely guidelines to ensure that communications are effectively managed and responsive to the needs of the team ● Foster and maintain a workplace culture that is respectful, perceptive, and engaging for healthy workplace and employee relationships ● Help preserve and enhance GuilfordWorks’ brand, both internally and externally, and to help ensure that relevant information reaches the targeted audience in the right format and at the right time
