Planned Leave Without Pay (PLWOP) Eligibility Any benefit eligible employee is eligible for PLWOP.

Limitations/Requirements • A minimum of 24 hours (three days) of PLWOP may be purchased per employee per year. • Requests must be made online during the open enrollment period for department director approval. • New hires may sign up within 30 days of employment. • At termination or retirement any PLWOP used but not paid for will be deducted from the final pay. • There is a reduction in the employees’ base salary. • This reduction will reflect a lower salary being reported to the Retirement System forcalculatingtheemployees’ contributions to the retirement program.

- During a Parks and Recreation staff meeting, employees are recognized with Vision Victory awards.

Benefit • PLWOP allows an employee to take leave whichtheyhaveelectedtopayfor inadvance. • The employee pays for the leave throughout thewhole year, thus eliminating a payperiod where they could potentially receive no pay. • See charts for maximum hours of PLWOP whichmaybepurchasedduringonecalendar year.
