Some of the changes you see this year include coveringApplied Behavioral Analysis to support our working parents of childrenwith autism. Youwill also see that this year’s plan includes a deductiblewhich increases your out of pocket expenses. I f you are not familiar with a health care deductible, in an insurance policy, the deductible is the amount of expenses that must be paid out-of-pocket before an insurer will pay any expense. Please be aware that office visits and pharmacy co-pays are entirely separate fromdeductibles and are not included in calculations toward the fulfillment of a deductible. You can choose to usemoney fromyour Flexible Spending Account to help lover your overall expenses. You can also cut expenses four ways: • Take part in United Healthcare’s preventative care services. • Visit our employee Quick Care Clinic on Patton Avenue for basic health care services. • Participate in our Wellness Health Rewards program to get fit and healthy. • Call UnitedHealthcare’s Virtual Visit services. This is a new service we are excited to introduce in 2017. From your computer or mobile phone, you can access United Healthcare’s Virtual Visit benefit for a zero copay. O pen Enrollment is an important time to reassess your benefit needs and make any appropriate changes. This year’sOpenEnrollment will again be conducted via theCity’sOnline Benefits ResourceCenter. The online open enrollment process allows you to see your per pay period deductions calculated as you make your enrollment selections. Even if you don’t plan on making changes, you still need to login and complete the Online Benefits Resource Center’s open enrollment. If you have questions during Open Enrollment, talk to your supervisor or manager, your benefits assistant, or your Human Resources Representative.
